An inaugural celebration for the next generation, "Kids' Inaugural: We Are The Future," a concert honoring families of the men and women of the American Armed Services, will be highlighted by themes of service to community plus performances by some of the most popular young recording artists today. The event, a production of the Presidential Inaugural Committee, will be televised from Verizon Center in Washington D.C., MONDAY, JANUARY 19 (8:00-9:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. An audio simulcast will be heard on Radio Disney (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) and an encore presentation in its entirety will be available on Disney.com (9:30 p.m., ET/PT).

Rosario Dawson, Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah, Lucy Liu, George Lopez and a performance by Corbin Bleu will join the previously announced appearances by the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Bow Wow, Billy Ray Cyrus, Keke Palmer, Usher Raymond IV. Shaquille O'Neal will also join from Buckley Air Force Base in Colorado as he visits hundreds of kids of military personnel, sharing stories of how he, the son of a U.S. Army member, grew up just like them).

For the special, Miley Cyrus will perform the inspirational ballad "The Climb," from Walt Disney Pictures' upcoming motion picture, "Hannah Montana The Movie." This marks the first public performance of the song. Corbin Bleu will perform "Moments that Matter" a rousing ballad from his forthcoming album, with the Mt. Vernon High School choir.

In keeping with a theme of the Inauguration, the event will encourage kids and families to participate in community service and to share goodwill with their fellow citizens by preparing service care packages with tips and guidelines from the non-profit USA Service organization, www.USAService.org .

The Jonas Brothers, in conjunction with the non-profit Change for the Children and Do Something.org, will also announce a new texting program to inspire kids to make a difference by signing up to volunteer in their own neighborhoods (standard messaging rates apply and kids under age 13 must have parent's permission).

Attended by Mrs. Michelle Obama, Dr. Jill Biden (who will be introduced by her 15-year-old granddaughter Naomi Biden), the concert special is executive produced by Greg Sills ("The Concert for New York" (post-9/11), "Kids Choice Awards," "VH1 Rock Honors"). Louis J. Horvitz is the director.

13-year-old Perry Rubin of Los Angeles, California, is the special backstage correspondent. The interactive telecast connects kids from around the country to the excitement of the event when Ms. Rubin asks the performers and participants questions from kids, sent via DisneyChannel.com.

Disney.com is inviting everyone to join the celebration by visiting the Kids Inaugural page www.Disney.com/USA which will feature polls, games and videos of the concert performers. A component will also allow guests to chat with friends and send "shout outs" by texting USA, their first name and message to DISNEY (347639). Standard carrier fees apply and a parent's permission is required if users are under age 18.

Thousands of tickets to the "Kids' Inaugural: We Are the Future" including some of the best seats in the house, have been made available to military families across the region. The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC), working closely with the Armed Forces Inaugural Committee (AFIC), has transferred these tickets to the Department of Defense for distribution. The tickets for military members, Active, Guard and Reserve, Wounded Warriors, dependents, and Families of the Fallen are being issued by the Armed Services to their respective Service members free of charge, with the majority of tickets being allocated to the families of enlisted personnel and junior officers.

More than a thousand tickets for Monday night's concert are also being made available free of charge to families in the Washington, DC area. The PIC has worked with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington to distribute tickets to children and their families through the organizations' 20 affiliated clubs in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
